When a Best Western hotel in Salisbury, MD needed to refresh approximately 10,000 square feet of exterior walkways, they wanted a solution that would not only improve appearance but also stand up to years of foot traffic and changing weather conditions. After evaluating their options, they selected our UV-resistant polyaspartic coating system over traditional epoxy due to its superior durability, long-term performance, and ability to withstand sun exposure without yellowing or fading. Unlike epoxy, which can become brittle and deteriorate when exposed to UV rays and seasonal temperature fluctuations, polyaspartic coatings maintain their strength, appearance, and bond to the concrete year after year.
The project featured a Blue Gray flake finish, a bold yet classic color blend that immediately brightened the property’s aesthetic and created a clean, welcoming appearance for guests. The decorative flake system provided the look of natural stone while delivering a durable, low-maintenance surface designed for commercial use.
One of the biggest challenges was overcoming years of miscellaneous concrete repairs that had left the walkways with an inconsistent appearance. Before the coating could be installed, our team carefully prepared the surface and addressed damaged areas to create a uniform foundation. This attention to detail ensured the finished coating would look seamless across the entire property while maximizing adhesion and long-term performance. Proper surface preparation was critical to creating a durable, lasting result.
Today, the hotel’s walkways have a refreshed, professional appearance that enhances curb appeal and creates a positive first impression for guests. More importantly, the new 100% polyaspartic coating system provides long-lasting protection against UV exposure, moisture, heavy foot traffic, and seasonal weather changes, helping the property maintain its investment for years to come.
